Five Below’s Squishy Dumpling Cycle Is Still Building [Preview]
RMS and Five Below added a Golden Ticket drop in May, extending the viral toy cycle into a parent-driven store traffic catalyst
Squishy dumplings have become the main Five Below-linked product trend over the past six months, with momentum continuing to build after management first called it out in March.
On the Q4 FY2025 earnings call on March 19, 2026, CFO Daniel Sullivan referenced efforts to amplify “viral moments like the current Squishy Dumpling craze.” CEO Winnie Park also said the company was watching the squishy trend closely and activating it through merchandising and stores.
The trend did not peak at the time of that callout. On May 7, 2026, RMS announced the Golden Ticket Mystery Dumpling edition tied to Five Below, including one ultra-rare gold dumpling with a $1,000 Five Below shopping spree prize.
